I enjoyed the attention to detail with the settings in most of the scenes. That old worldy English village and town atmosphere is so charming. Especially on the big screen.

The storyline for the Half Blood Prince sets the scene for Harry Potter being initiated for his mission by Albus Dumiledore. It develops quite well with a few humorous distractions like Ron Weasley affected by a love potion and coming under the obsessive infatuation of Lavender Brown. Much to Hermoine Granger’s jealous disgust.

I was disappointed we didn’t get to see the battle against the Dark Lord. The end was a bit of an anti climax leaving me up in the air. I guess I was all worked up looking forward to seeing this great battle. I’ve heard that other’s were disappointed as well and even claimed the film was a bit boring. We all want some big action scene. That will happen in a future Harry Potter movie. But like the James Bond saga’s, Harry Potter will return.

Oh and my eight and ten year olds enjoyed it a lot.

It’s a collection of five fairy stories for wizards. Harry Potter devotees will be glad since JK Rowling produced the seventh and final volume in the series last year.

With no more Harry Potter stories to look forward to, the tales will give fans a welcome, short-term fix of a world they thought they’d lost.

They are written, the author assures us, by a 15th-century wizard, and translated from the original runes by Hermione Grainger, with sage commentary by Albus Dumbledore, the late lamented head of Hogwarts.

When asked in an interview with Time magazine if she’d consider an eighth Harry Potter book, author J.K. Rowling didn’t quite say no. Instead, she suggested asking her again in 10 years.
