Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was on the agenda on Sunday come hell or high water, Death Eaters or the Dark Lord. With tickets booked online and my two kids in tow, we made it down for a Sunday afternoon session at one of Greater Union Cinema’s Senstadiums. Senstadium being a normal cinema with bigger screen and bigger sound, but still got a sore butt on their seats watching this 2 hour and 33 minute long epic.
I enjoyed the attention to detail with the settings in most of the scenes. That old worldy English village and town atmosphere is so charming. Especially on the big screen.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has been released. Last weekend of the school holidays in South Australia. So I think the kids will have a great treat seeing the latest movie in the Harry Potter saga. Here’s some behinds the scenes footage. Enjoy!
Have you already seen Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince?

Never seen this before. Obviously millions of fans around the world are just learning of this sad news.
In catching up with this news myself before Twitter crashed about 20 minutes ago I noticed that the top searches at Twitter were for Michael Jackson.

Transformer’s star Megan Fox (23) has dumped Brian Austin Green (35) after having a five year relationship with Brian since she was 18.
Earlier this year she wasd quoted as saying “whether or not he is currently my boyfriend or we are romantically involved, he’s always going to be a really good friend of mine.”
“We had a very serious relationship… We had/have a very serious relationship. I was 18 when it started. It was very committed and monogamous for five years and that doesn’t just go away. He’s always going to be somebody I care about and somebody I trust.
“He’s very protective of me and he cares deeply about me. I have a feeling he’s always going to be around, whatever the relationship dynamic is.”
So to any future Megan Fox boyfriend’s, be warned that Brian might pop up unexpectedly, like a chaperone. I migt prefer a sister instead in that case.
OK I’ve been very busy the last couple of months. A lower back injury in early May didn’t help things either. Got it while watching “He’s Just Not That Into You” on my laptop while lounging on the sofa for 2 1/2 hours. Ouch! That hurt real bad. But you will be glad to hear I fully recovered, well about 98% recovered.
Anyway so much has gone on in the world recently. Besides swine flu and a couple of airline disasters, the entertainment world has had a few events and gossip to report. From Susan Boyle to Gordon Ramsay, let’s get the show back on the road. Giddy Up! There’s news in show biz to share with you.
JK Rowling’s latest volume, “the Tales of Beedle the Bard” have been flying off the shelves since midnight Wednesday in London.
It’s a collection of five fairy stories for wizards. Harry Potter devotees will be glad since JK Rowling produced the seventh and final volume in the series last year.
With no more Harry Potter stories to look forward to, the tales will give fans a welcome, short-term fix of a world they thought they’d lost.
They are written, the author assures us, by a 15th-century wizard, and translated from the original runes by Hermione Grainger, with sage commentary by Albus Dumbledore, the late lamented head of Hogwarts.
